Title
MRI of the Brain Without and With Intravenous Contrast
Clinical History
Patient-specific — populated from user input at report time. Shows "None" if not provided.
Comparison
No prior studies available for comparison.
Technique
Multiplanar multi-sequential MR imaging of the brain was performed without intravenous contrast. Sequences include axial T1, T2, FLAIR, GRE, and DWI with calculated ADC maps. Following contrast administration, axial, coronal, and sagittal T1-weighted images were obtained.
Findings
Systematic evaluation of intracranial structures reveals normal findings throughout.
Ventricles and Sulci:
The ventricles and sulci are age appropriate.
Brain Parenchyma and Enhancement:
No abnormal areas of enhancement throughout the brain.
Diffusion and Acute Ischemia:
No restricted diffusion to suggest acute ischemia.
Intracranial Hemorrhage:
No intracranial hemorrhage.
Mass Effect and Midline Structures:
No mass, hydrocephalus, midline shift, or herniation pattern.
Sella and Pituitary Gland:
The sella and pituitary gland are unremarkable.
Brainstem and Posterior Fossa:
The brainstem, posterior fossa, and cervicomedullary junction are normal.
Cerebral Vasculature:
The vascular flow voids at the base of the brain are maintained.
Paranasal Sinuses and Mastoid Air Cells:
The visualized paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear.
Impression
Unremarkable MRI evaluation of the brain.
