Title

MRI of the Cervical Spine Without and With Intravenous Contrast

Clinical History

Patient-specific — populated from user input at report time. Shows "None" if not provided.

Comparison

No prior studies available for comparison.

Technique

Multi-planar MRI of the cervical spine was performed utilizing axial T1, axial T2, sagittal T1, sagittal T2, and sagittal STIR images without contrast. Following administration of intravenous gadolinium, axial and sagittal T1 weighted images were obtained.

Findings

The cervical spine demonstrates normal alignment and morphology. The spinal cord is normal in size and signal intensity. No significant stenosis, myelopathy, or cord compression is identified.
Cervical Alignment and Lordosis: Preservation of normal cervical lordosis is noted. Cervical vertebral heights and alignment are maintained.
Bone Marrow Signal: Normal bone marrow signal is demonstrated on long and short TR pulse sequences without evidence of edema or replacement.
Osseous Structures: No expansile or destructive osseous lesion is identified. The posterior elements are intact.
Intervertebral Disks: Normal signal and heights of the intervertebral disks are maintained. No focal disk herniation is identified.
Spinal Canal and Neural Foramina: No significant spinal canal stenosis or neural foraminal narrowing is identified.
Spinal Cord: The visualized cervical and upper thoracic cord demonstrates normal size and contour, without evidence of abnormal enlargement, cavitation, or abnormal intramedullary signal. The cervicomedullary junction is preserved.
Epidural Space: No epidural mass or collection is identified.
C2-C3 Level: No significant posterior disk bulge or herniation, significant spinal canal stenosis, or neural foraminal narrowing is present.
C3-C4 Level: No significant abnormality is identified at this level.
C4-C5 Level: No significant abnormality is identified at this level.
C5-C6 Level: No significant abnormality is identified at this level.
C6-C7 Level: No significant abnormality is identified at this level.
C7-T1 Level: No significant abnormality is identified at this level.

Impression

Unremarkable cervical spine MRI.
