Title
MRI of the Hip Without Contrast
Clinical History
Patient-specific — populated from user input at report time. Shows "None" if not provided.
Comparison
No prior studies available for comparison.
Technique
Multiplanar MRI images of the hip were obtained without intravenous contrast.
Findings
Detailed multiplanar imaging of the hip demonstrates normal osseous, articular, and soft tissue structures.
Femoral Head and Proximal Femur:
Normal cortical and marrow signal of the femoral head and visualized proximal femur without evidence of fracture, dislocation, or avascular necrosis.
Acetabulum and Pelvis:
The remaining visualized osseous structures of the acetabulum and pelvis are normal.
Femoroacetabular Impingement:
No secondary signs of femoroacetabular impingement syndrome.
Articular Cartilage:
Normal articular cartilage without focal chondral defects.
Intra-articular Bodies:
No intra-articular osteochondral loose bodies.
Joint Effusion:
No joint effusion.
Labrum:
Normal capsular structures without acetabular labral tear or para-labral cyst.
Bursae:
No trochanteric or iliopsoas bursitis.
Tendons and Insertions:
Normal visualized muscles and tendons of the hip with normal gluteus, hamstring, and iliopsoas tendon insertions.
Muscles:
Normal visualized muscles of the hip.
Subcutaneous Tissues:
Normal subcutis adipose tissue space.
Extra-articular Fluid Collections:
No extra-articular fluid collections, hematoma, or soft tissue masses.
Pelvic Soft Tissues:
Normal visualized soft tissues of the pelvis without soft tissue masses, fluid collections, or hematoma.
Pelvic Sidewall:
Normal pelvic sidewall structures.
Impression
Normal examination.
