Title

Radiographs of the Bilateral Temporomandibular Joints -- 6 Views

Clinical History

Patient-specific — populated from user input at report time. Shows "None" if not provided.

Comparison

No prior studies available for comparison.

Technique

AP and lateral views of the bilateral temporomandibular joints are submitted in the closed-mouth position. Lateral views of the bilateral temporomandibular joints in the open-mouth position are also provided for dynamic assessment.

Findings

Bilateral temporomandibular joint evaluation is performed.
Left Temporomandibular Joint - Closed-Mouth: No evidence of fracture or dislocation is identified.
Left Temporomandibular Joint - Open-Mouth: Expected anterior excursion of the mandibular condyle is noted.
Right Temporomandibular Joint - Closed-Mouth: No evidence of fracture or dislocation is identified.
Right Temporomandibular Joint - Open-Mouth: Expected anterior excursion of the mandibular condyle is noted.

Impression

1. Expected physiologic motion of the bilateral temporomandibular joints with no obvious evidence of fracture or dislocation. If clinical symptoms persist, clinical correlation is suggested regarding the potential utility of MR imaging for further evaluation.
