Technique
Multiplanar grayscale and color Doppler ultrasound images are obtained of the thyroid gland. Adjacent cervical structures are also visualized.
Findings
The thyroid gland is evaluated with attention to size, echotexture, vascularity, and nodular disease.
Right Lobe:
The right lobe of the thyroid gland is normal in size and echotexture with normal color flow.
Left Lobe:
The left lobe of the thyroid gland is normal in size and echotexture with normal color flow.
Isthmus:
The isthmus is unremarkable.
Parathyroid Glands:
The parathyroid glands are not distinctly visualized, which is a normal finding.
Cervical Lymph Nodes:
No suspicious cervical lymph nodes are identified.
